Angelina Jolie finally took an Instagram last week! However, instead of posting photos of herself and her family, the actress-filmmaker used the social media site as a platform to raise awareness of the situation in Afghanistan. Entitled A letter from an afghan girl, his first post shows a photo of a letter sent to him that tells the story of those who live in the country.
In the caption, she said: “Seeing for decades how Afghan refugees – some of the most capable people in the world – are treated as a burden is also disgusting. Knowing that if they had the tools and the respect, anything they would do for themselves. And meet so many women and girls who not only wanted an education but fought for it. Like others who have made a commitment, I will not turn away. I will continue to look for ways to help. And I hope you will join me.
